Does it work on iPhone? Mac?
Currently Music Zoom is made for iPad only.
Down the road, support for iPhone and Macs running Apple Silicon may be introduced as testing capacity allows.
What are the hardware and software requirements?
Any iPad running iPadOS 26 or later.
Support for earlier versions of iPadOS may be added as they are tested.
How much does it cost?
It’s free during the beta. When it launches, there’ll be a free version with some limitations, and a paid, full version. Prices will be posted before launch.
Which footswitch should I buy?
Most Bluetooth page-turner pedal or keyboards that can send arrow keys will work. Most page-turner pedals have an arrow-key mode, so check the instructions for yours.
Music Zoom recognized Up/Left arrow inputs for scrolling backwards, and Down/Right arrow inputs for scrolling forwards.
Music Zoom has been tested with the following footswitches:
Can I use PDFs?
Not yet. Music Zoom works with photos and images. You can take a screenshot of each PDF page on your iPad and import the screenshots.
Does it need the internet?
No. Once your music is set up, everything works offline. iCloud syncs your library whenever you’re back online.
Where is my music stored?
On your iPad and, if iCloud is on, in your own iCloud storage. I don’t run any server that receives your music.
Does it read music aloud or play it?
No. Music Zoom enlarges printed music. It doesn’t play audio, read notes aloud or produce braille.
How do I report a problem?
Email info@musiczoom.app. If you’re a beta tester, you can also send feedback through the TestFlight app. Tell me which iPad you’re using and what you were doing when it happened.
